Forgive me readers, it has been 6 months since my last blog post.
It was a whirlwind summer of making, making, making to keep my lovely stockists/galleries topped up, interspersed with as many trips away as I could squeeze in. It’s definitely been my busiest summer so far for gallery sales, so thank you to them and all the visitors who are keeping these indie businesses going!

I did miraculously manage to come up with some new designs this year as well, inspired by some of my usual obsessions ie: nature, storytelling and the Scottish landscape.
So now we have reached November, and that can only mean one thing – market time! After the past 4 winters of market mania I promised myself I wouldn’t over-commit this year, so I am only doing three in-person events.
We’re kicking off with the tremendous Tea Green at the Burrell Collection, Glasgow. Always a pleasure to take part in, there will be over 70 of the best independent creative businesses based in Scotland. I’m there for ONE DAY ONLY – Saturday, 7th so pop in and enjoy seeing gorgeous goods in stunning surroundings – open 10-5.

Then on Saturday, November 14th I’ll be travelling down to the beautiful Roseneath Peninsula in Argyll with fellow Creative Exchangers Karl Macrae Ceri White and Caitlin Hanna to take part in the Cove Christmas Market at Cove Sailing Club, Barons Point.

I’m very excited about being back in Argyll and the Firth of Forth – places very dear to my heart. Plus we’re all be staying in a caravan on the peninsula so this should be a fun one! I’ll also be keeping my fingers crossed for peaceful/non-stormy weather.
Finally there will be our very own Perth Creative Exchange Open Studios & Winter Market on December 5th & 6th!

It’ll be the usual extravaganza of top notch artists, makers and designers from Perthshire and beyond on the ground floor, with the open studios upstairs. We’ve got quite a few new studio holders this year, so there will definitely be lots of new things to see! Not only that, there will be mulled wine AND a pop-up cafe – what more could you want? It’s a great building and a hub of activity so this will be a really enjoyable event.
I also need to mention what has become a firm fixture in the event calendar – the Made in Stirling Christmas Market. It’s essentially a pop-up shop stuffed with fantastic goodies – there really is something for everyone. It runs from November 2nd – January 10th and is a fantastic place to find gorgeous gifts this winter, all made in Scotland.

Remember if you can’t make it to any of these, I’m aiming to re-open my Folksy shop mid November, or you can visit my ‘shop’ page to see where else you can find my work this winter.
